Padang,
February 20, 2025
— The Faculty of Law of Universitas Andalas, known as FH UNAND, inaugurated the
first Hukumonline Corner in West Sumatra as part of its commitment to improving
the quality of legal education and expanding access to reliable digital legal
information.
The Hukumonline Corner was
inaugurated at FH UNAND by UNAND Secretary Aidinil Zetra together with
Hukumonline Chief Media and Engagement Officer Amrie Hakim. With this
inauguration, FH UNAND became the first law faculty in West Sumatra to have a
Hukumonline Corner. On the same occasion, FH UNAND and Hukumonline also signed
a Cooperation Agreement related to University Solutions services.
UNAND Secretary Aidinil Zetra
expressed his support for the collaboration between FH UNAND and Hukumonline.
He described the cooperation as a strategic step, especially amid rapid
technological development and the growing presence of artificial intelligence
in academic and professional work. According to him, access to accurate,
trusted, and technology-based legal information has become increasingly
important for lecturers, researchers, and students.
Aidinil also encouraged the FH UNAND
academic community to make substantive use of the collaboration so that it can
provide maximum benefits for improving productivity and the quality of academic
work. One of the digital tools introduced through the collaboration is Allex,
Hukumonline’s virtual assistant, which can support users in accessing legal
information more efficiently.
Vice Dean II of FH UNAND, Hengki
Andora, stated that the collaboration with Hukumonline is expected to create a
significant impact for the faculty, particularly in improving the quality of
legal education. He also expressed hope that the cooperation would not be
limited to the signing of an agreement, but could continue through seminars,
training programs, and other mutually beneficial academic activities.
The presence of Hukumonline Corner
is expected to strengthen the learning environment at FH UNAND by giving
students and lecturers broader access to digital legal resources. In an era
where legal information is increasingly connected with technology, the facility
can support legal research, academic discussion, and the development of more
adaptive legal education.
This initiative supports SDG 4
Quality Education by strengthening access to trusted legal learning
resources and supporting the improvement of legal education quality. Through
digital legal information services, students and lecturers can enhance their
academic capacity, research productivity, and readiness to respond to
developments in the legal profession.
The program also aligns with SDG
16 Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions because access to accurate legal
information is an important foundation for legal literacy, justice, and
accountable institutions. By encouraging the use of reliable legal knowledge
and technology-based services, FH UNAND contributes to strengthening legal
understanding within the academic community.
Through the inauguration of the
first Hukumonline Corner in West Sumatra, FH UNAND reaffirmed its role as a law
faculty that continues to adapt to digital transformation. The collaboration
with Hukumonline is expected to become a strategic platform for improving legal
education, strengthening academic capacity, and expanding access to trusted
legal knowledge.
